I have been assigned to help both here at Sacred Heart and Saint Ann's Parishes on the weekends. During the week I am a full time teacher and Chaplin at Bishop Fenwick High School in Middletown. I grew up in Dayton. This is my second assignment and I am looking forward to serving this very welcoming parish for the next several years. In my free time I love to fish, hunt, read and play music.
I was born and raised in Fairfield, OH. I graduated from Fairfield High School. I received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation and Marriage at Sacred Heart. My grandmother lived at 3114 Pleasant Ave., so I spent many weekends with her while I was growing up, riding my bike around Lindenwald and going to church at St. Ann’s. I graduated from Averett University in Danville, VA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I am married to Joe McAbee (36 years). We reside in Fairfield Township. We have three married children – Rachel, Laura and Joe, Jr. plus three precious granddaughters, Madison, Emma and Charlotte. We have been members of St. Ann’s for 29 years. I taught CCD for many years and began volunteering in the Parish before being hired by Fr. Dennis in 1998. The people of St. Ann's are very special. God has blessed me in many ways and my hope is that I can give Him thanks by doing the best job possible here as the Business Manager.
We are in the process of gathering bio and photo information for our staff. Thank you for your patience!
Scott Cepluch, Maintenance
I was born and raised in Lindenwald and reside there today with my wife and daughter. I attended St. Ann School as a 4th generation alumni from both sides of my family. I graduated from Stephen T. Badin High School and attended three and half years at the University of Cincinnati in the Architecture program. I constructed houses and performed home renovations as a private contractor before working at St. Ann Catholic School. I have worked as the maintenance/custodian here for five years. I enjoy interacting with the students on a daily basis and watching them grow throughout each school year. My favorite part of being the maintenance / custodian at St. Ann is no day is the same as the day before. I look forward to my daughter attending kindergarten at St. Ann School next year. I love going fishing in Coldwater, Michigan.
Danny Getz, Maintenance
St. Ann School has been special to me for years, because my mom attended school here and my parents were also married here. Also, my sister is the sixth grade teacher. Before I even started working as a maintenance man, I felt like part of the community. I graduated from Stephen T. Badin High School. Since graduating, I have worked on many different projects; such as, restoring old furniture to make it look new, designed and cut out of wood; quilt hangers, three-dimensional dogs, and other animals. In my spare time, I take care of my many animals: dogs, cats, rabbit, chinchilla, birds and turtles. I have felt very welcomed here at St. Ann and looking forward to many more years.
