Festival Workers

Please consider volunteering for our Parish Festival.  It takes a lot of volunteers to make it all happen.  The festival results are so vital to the parish/school operation.  Please volunteer your time in any way you can.

Vacation Bible School

This year Sacred Heart will join St. Ann in our Pastoral Region Vacation Bible School to take place at St. Ann.  We are now registering students for VBS.  Please see registration process defined in this bulletin.

Reflection on Scripture

The Kingdom of God does not operate by the perceived rules of science or by the rules of man; but by the rule of God.  Jesus uses analogies and metaphorically explains how in nature, a small seed can produce a big plant.   How a planted field can grow and produce a harvest without anyone really understanding the intricacies of how it happens.  Jesus makes it clear that it is the height of arrogance for humans to tell God what He cannot do!  So when God says he will build up His Kingdom; bet your eternal life on it.

Therefore, when we cannot understand how God will accomplish something, do not allow doubt to erode your faith.  A General does not explain his entire master battle plan to all the troops.  Rather he tells each command what they must do.  If they do their part, the whole thing will work, even though they do not understand the whole plan.

Do what God commands you to do even when you do not understand why.  This is the kind of obedience God rewards in Heaven.
